First Step course- Part 2: Awakening curiosity and rolling over, for 4-6 month old babies

September 19 @ 9:30 amNovember 21 @ 10:45 am
€92

The First Step course is designed to support your baby’s development throughout their first year of life, and to support you as a parent. This is a unique opportunity to grow alongside your baby, deepen your understanding of their needs, and build meaningful connections — both with your child and with a community of parents experiencing the same journey.

In our weekly sessions, you will learn activities and games that support your baby’s motor, sensory, and cognitive development. Each meeting includes a conversation on a topic relevant to your baby’s current stage, helping you better understand their world and their needs. During free play, I will observe each baby and offer personalized feedback based on their abilities. You’ll also have opportunity to connect with other parents in a warm, open, and fun environment.

Part 2 – 4 to 6 months: Awakening curiosity and rolling over

At this exciting stage, your baby is becoming more curious, and starting to explore their environment through conscious movements. In this part of the course, we will focus on strengthening the babies’ core muscles and balance systems. We will encourage and improve tummy time and support the babies in learning to roll over. You will learn how to engage your baby with playful activities that encourage communication, and how to create meaningful, stimulating waking hours that will also contribute to better sleep.

The course consists of four parts. The parts can be booked individually. If you start with the first course block, you automatically have a place reserved for the following course parts.

This is the second part for babies born between March and May 2025.

Fridays, 09:30-10:45.

Dates: 19.9, 26.9, 10.10, 17.10, 24.10, 7.11, 14.11, 21.11

First Step is a holistic approach rooted in the Feldenkrais method. It emphasizes the deep connection between sensory-motor learning and emotional development — how a baby’s ability to roll, reach, or sit is closely linked to their sense of confidence, curiosity, and openness to the world. The approach also highlights the vital role of the environment we create for our babies — through touch, tone of voice, responsiveness, and the experiences we offer. These early interactions shape how babies move, learn, see themselves, and relate to others. Our goal is to provide each baby with optimal conditions for development, and to help them build both a strong sense of confidence and a solid motor foundation, that will serve them throughout life.
